Sugartit Speedway will host the fourth annual SOUTHEASTERN PREDATOR CHAMPIONSHIP on Saturday, November 18th, 2017.

This race is designed to offer those competing in the Predator classes throughout the year at the local level, an opportunity to receive regional recognition for their participation and accomplishment. 

We are expecting a large contingency of Predator drivers from throughout the Southeast to be on hand to compete for the championship trophy and recognition as 2017 SOUTHEASTERN PREDATOR CHAMPION.

The race will feature a 50 lap Championship Main Event and a unique one lap qualifying format.  Each competitor will receive one lap to establish his qualifying time and starting position in the main event.

As past Southeastern Predator Champions, the following drivers will receive invitational bids and a guaranteed starting position in the race.

                             Vince Poteat .... 2014 Southeastern Predator Champion

                              B.J. Gillespie .... 2015 Southeastern Predator Champion

                             Jason Moates .... 2016 Southeastern Predator Champion


Starting positions for all other drivers will be determined by qualifying times ....





$10 Entry Fee ... $5 Transponder Fee ... 100% Payback

Southeastern Predator Group (SPG) engine rules apply with the following exception ...
(local track/promoter option will require stock flywheels only ... no billet flywheels allowed)

375lb Minimum kart + driver weight (no minimum driver weight)

Clutch style open but must be 17 tooth driver .... 58 rear axle gear ...

All karts must display 4 legible numbers on body ... front nose, each side panel, and rear bumper.  Rear panel must be attached to rear bumper and be a standard  (7" x 9") unaltered panel consisting of a black panel, with white numbers, or a white panel with black numbers.  Rear numbers must be a standard simple font with minimum 6” height ... no custom fonts, multi colored, shaded, or outlined numbers allowed on rear panel.

ON BOARD CAMERAS/RECORDERS:
No cameras or recording devices may be mounted on helmet or any part of drivers body ... all cameras/recorders must be securely mounted on the top, and within the confines of the bodywork.

JUNIOR BODIES:
14” maximum nose/body height for PeeWee, JR 1, and JR 2  karts, ... measured from ground to highest point on nose/body ... no steering shaft farings/visors allowed.

PEEWEE CLASSES:

The designated station for purchasing fuel for the Box Stock and Predator Classes, will be the Li'l Cricket Station/Marathon/Convenience Store at 1906 Highway 101 S, Greer, SC (exit 60 off I-85).  this location was chosen due to its proximity to the track and should provide a convenient location for most competitors to purchase fuel.  The specified fuel is 87 octane ethanol/gasoline mix ... no additives allowed.  Fuel from this location will be the standard for comparison, so purchasing fuel from this source will provide the highest assurance of fuel being in compliance with the testing procedure(s).

IT IS THE COMPETITOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR FUEL IS LEGAL.  Purchasing fuel from the designated source does not guarantee legality.

PRE-TECH INSPECTION:
All karts must be presented for pre-race inspection, and comply with all required items, before receiving an inspection sticker.  No karts will be allowed on the track at any time without an affixed inspection sticker.

This will be race #7 of 12 in the points series. Points champions for each class will be determined by the best 10 out of 12 races. Drivers competing in all 12 points races will receive a 50 point bonus !!

We will also be awarding a new chassis at the end of year banquet .. chassis will be awarded by drawing from eligible drivers ... in order to be eligible a driver must compete in at least 11 of the 12 points races.

A full complement of Box Stock, SPG Predator, Flathead, and Senior Champ Classes will be on the program.

All karts must display 4 legible numbers on body ... front nose, each side panel, and rear bumper.  Rear panel must be attached to rear bumper and be a standard  (7" x 9") unaltered panel consisting of a black panel, with white numbers, or a white panel with black numbers.  Rear numbers must be a standard simple font with minimum 6” height ... no custom fonts, multi colored, shaded, or outlined numbers allowed on rear panel.

ON BOARD CAMERAS/RECORDERS:
No cameras or recording devices may be mounted on helmet or any part of drivers body ... all cameras/recorders must be securely mounted on the top, and within the confines of the bodywork.

JUNIOR BODIES:
14” maximum nose/body height for PeeWee, JR 1, and JR 2  karts, ... measured from ground to highest point on nose/body ... no steering shaft farings/visors allowed.

PEEWEE CLASSES:
Driver Ages 5-7
NKA Red Plate Clone, Wennie Pipe, 235lb Min Weight ... 87 octane ethanol/gasoline mix   
or WKA Purple Plate Flathead, .048” Max jet, 250lb Min weight ... methanol only

The designated station for purchasing fuel for the Box Stock and Predator Classes, will be the Flying J Truck Plaza at Exit 102 (HWY #5) off Interstate 85.  This location was chosen due to its proximity to the track and should provide a convenient location for most competitors to purchase fuel.  The specified fuel is 87 octane ethanol/gasoline mix. ... no additives allowed.  Fuel from this location will be the standard for comparison, so purchasing fuel from this source will provide the highest assurance of fuel being in compliance with the testing procedure(s)

IT IS THE COMPETITOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEIR FUEL IS LEGAL.  Purchasing fuel from the designated source does not guarantee legality.

PRE-TECH INSPECTION:
All karts must be presented for pre-race inspection, and comply with all required items, before receiving an inspection sticker.  No karts will be allowed on the track at any time without an affixed inspection sticker.
